Veronica Paredes

Location: New York

Veronica Paredes is a digital media scholar and practitioner. She is a lecturer at the School of Media Studies at The New School and a PhD candidate in the Media Arts and Practice (iMAP) division at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts. Her digital dissertation project is called “Marquee Survivals: A Multimodal Historiography of Cinema’s Recycled Spaces,” it focuses on repurposed movie theaters and their intersections with intermedia histories of urban space. Her research interests include: reconfigured spaces, urban media histories, feminist networks and media practice, and critical pedagogies.
