Lecture Library

Twin Peaks, the first season
by Sarah O'Brien

An archive of key moments from the first season

The primary purpose for this lecture is to serve as a repository of selected shots, scenes, and sequences for students to draw on in composing analytical essays for the course "Writing about Television" (ENWR1510 and 2510) at the University of Virginia. As they watch the series for the first time and begin to draft essays about it, students will select moments they find significant and write critical commentary on them.

Note: Episode numbering follows that of streaming sites, which count "The Pilot" as episode 1 of the first season.
