Reason and Emotion

by Nicholas Sammond

This month’s featured cartoon – Reason and Emotion (1943), was a propaganda film made during WWII, depicting the development of reason and emotion in a person’s brain. Perhaps acting as an influence to the recent film Inside Out, this short depicts the “angels” and “demons” of the inner mind, reaching mid-short into Hitler’s to psyche and giving the audience a glimpse into his sordid mind.
