"Jeffersons" - Tropic Thunder

by Nicholas Sammond

In this one scene, Alpa Chino talks about the lack of black representation in the film and how they gave the one good black role in the film to a white Australian. Instead of responding back appropriately to Chino's Aussie-laden insults, Lazarus performs the role he has appropriated, and instead criticizes Chino's use of the n-word through quoting the theme of "The Jeffersons" - and responding with "Man, just cause it's a theme song don't make it not true."
