Gus Visser and His Singing Duck

by Nicholas Sammond

This early sound short from 1925 features vaudevillian Gus Visser and his singing duck. Typical of early sound shorts from vaudeville, the short is shot head-on and Visser acknowledges the camera. Note the lack of depth, too. Compare with Steamboat Willie. [This is a higher resolution version than the other Gus Visser short featured here.]
