Betty Boop's Rise to Fame

by Nicholas Sammond

Max Fleischer grants a reporter an interview with Betty Boop. The back and forth between "Uncle Max" and Betty has its roots in the banter between the Interlocutor and Tambo or Bones. Betty's review also performs vaudeville in a nostalgic tone, treating it as a relic of the past, even in 1934.
