Acrobatty Bunny

by Nicholas Sammond

This 1946 WB short, directed by Robert McKimson, offers detailed examples of Warner Bros. affinity for self-referentiality (in the opening credits and Bugs Bunny's final address to the audience, for example) and of the increasing play between high and low that WB animators explored (Bugs as a slapstick circus clown singing "Pagliacci").
