Miniature Rear Projection in 1933's King Kong

This clip illustrates the miniature rear-projection technique that Willis O'Brien developed for King Kong.  By incorporating single film stills of actors into his stop-motion sets, O'Brion was able to integrate human actors and stop-motion puppets into the same shots.
