How could we sketch this demand curve? We could put the quantity of smiles on one axis, but what is on the other axis? ."Anything" is not easily quantifiable. This sort of reminds me of the M&Ms TV commercial, where the M&M is saying he will do anything for love, "but I won't do that". The that are what would lead to to his demise as in jumping into a hot oven.
