McCabe & Mrs Miller - Sound - Dialogue

Types of Film Sound – Speech. Speech can function in numerous ways in cinema, the most common use is speech as dialogue. This clip from Altman’s McCabe and Mrs Miller provides a good example of the use of overlapping dialogue. We might refer to the use of dialogue in this clip as producing a promiscuous sonic environment.
