Expressionist Sets - Caligari

by Kate Fortmueller

As the commentary for The Student of Prague (1926) mentions, expressionist sets are heavily stylized (lots of sharp edges, angular buildings and high contrast lighting). Compare this still to the street scene in The Student of Prague. Note some of the similarities and differences.
