Women in Edison films

According to Charles Musser, Carmencita was the first woman featured in an Edison film. Carmencita dances in the center of the frame, like some of the other Edison women, she is the object of the gaze. Consider her position and movements, how does this film differ from Annie Oakley (1894)?
