Rock in film

In the late 1950s Hollywood tried assimilate rock music into the musical genre with varied levels of success. The first use of rock music in film, however, was not in a musical, but rather in Blackboard Jungle (1955) a film about juvenile delinquency. In the 1950s rock was often linked with juvenile delinquents, consider how this clip sets up and makes that association clear.
