The playful Beatles

In A Hard Day's Night, The Beatles run from their fans and constantly contend with their tremendous popularity. Rock stars were often deemed threatening because of how their sexuality attracted young women (think Elvis). In A Hard Day's Night, The Beatles are often cast as playful jokers, a characterization that is visible in this sequence, rather than sex-crazed bad-boys.
