The Invisible Hand: Sounds like it could be the title for a scary movie. Market prices are the not-so-scary real force that directs the actions of buyers and sellers, and brings them into harmony. Beth is discovering that the economic environment affects how markets work. Local and international conditions determine the availability of products and their prices.


We catch up with Beth at the supermarket. She is confronted with a variety of choices about food options, and those choices illustrate the Invisible Hand at work.
