Instead of encouraging educators to better understand fair use of copyright and tools such as the Creative Commons, schools tend to reject remixing out of hand and dismiss it as a new form of learning. Confusion can occur but this is why it’s important to know you’re your rights for use of media in the classroom, especially to stay current with media and continue to engage your students in a medium they are accustomed to participating in.
