Video games and social decay

by Critical Commons Manager

A survivalist, driven to the wilderness by widespread cultural decline, is forced to admit that video games are the one thing that has gotten better in the last ten years. Set in the early 1980s, this scene is symptomatic of the dispensation extended by Hollywood to arcade-based gamin, as opposed to in-home consoles, which are consistently vilified, a symptom of the more direct threat they posed to the hegemony of Hollywood film and television over home entertainment.
