Computer Space ad

by Critical Commons Manager

The woman depicted in this advertisement for (Atari predecessor) Nutting Associates' Computer Space is not dressed for game play in the average early 1970s video game arcade. Ironically, a similarly dressed woman would appear in the feature film Soylent Green three years later in a scene that connected domestic arcade games with extremes of wealth and privilege in a dystopian future.
