Kellogg's sponsorship of The Monkees lives on

Even now, more than 45 years later, the end credit sequence of The Monkees TV series bears prominent evidence of the show's sponsorship by Kellogg's. While diegetically embedded product placement has become more prominent in recent decades, it is difficult to imagine this type of extra-diegetic overlaying of commercial products on the faces of actors during a credit sequence today.
