Citizen journalism trumps military intelligence

Although they have a room filled with large-screen computer monitors, the national intelligence apparatus has to rely on citizen journalism via the internets for information on a worldwide alien invasion. The litany of global invasion sites is correspondingly obscure -- instead of the usual global signifiers for Paris, Cairo and Tokyo, ships are noted to have touched down in Okabango, Gobi and Baku.
