Body projection in title design

by Administrator

The influence of Laszlo Moholy-Nagy on designer Robert Brownjohn's work is apparent in this title sequence for Goldfinger. Moholy-Nagy rephotographed projections on live action bodies in his constructivist experiments of the 1920s, a technique also used by Brownjohn in the titles of From Russia With Love, and which reached new heights in Goldfinger. The Goldfinger titles became the first title sequence to be collected by the Museum of Modern Art.
