FILM: The Right to Romance - Rear Projection

by Clifford Galiher

The description of Robert Young and Ann Harding waterskiing fortunately made the film in question easy to deduce. The waterskiing scene, however, constitutes only one shot in a rear projection montage.  This type of rear projection travelogue was common in RKO films of the period, also appearing in similar fashion in 1934's Melody Cruise.
